We can assist individuals, families and friends, and the wider community to receive information and gain a better understanding of mental ill health and mental illness.

Whether you are a person with a mental illness, a carer or family member, other organisation or just interested in some information, Mental Health Carers Tasmania can direct you to the best place to find the help you need.

Students, medical and psychiatric trainees and other interested members of the public are all welcome.

We are not a crisis intervention service. If you need urgent help:

State-wide and Mental Health Services Consumer, Family and Carer Support Guide

The guide has been developed by Mental Health Services to provide consumers of acute mental health services, their family members and carers with information about acute mental illness and the range of clinical and community services available to assist and support them.
