MHCTas and RTO Connect are offering fully funded student places to undertake Certificate IV Mental Health Peer Work. Three places are available for people who want to volunteer for MHCTas. We have volunteering opportunities on our Carer Representative Service or undertaking project work in your region. Volunteers will be supported by MHCTas and RTO Connect with their projects/volunteering. It is not crucial that students do volunteer for MHCTas as they might qualify for the other funded placements outlined below.
Additionally, we also have limited placements for those who are currently not in paid employment or work on a casual basis and want to obtain employment as a Carer Mental Health Peer Worker.
Expressions of Interest for the North West intake close on 9th July 2018 and 25th May 2018 for the North, information packages can be obtained by contacting RTO Connect direct, see flyer for details. Face-to-Face Classes will be held in Burnie and Launceston once a week and students will also complete assignments from home.
This is a great opportunity as this training would normally cost $6,000.00.[pdf-embedder url=”https://mentalhealthcarerstas.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/BurnieLauncestonIntake.pdf” title=”Burnie&LauncestonIntake”]
