We are looking for someone:
- to recruit, train, coach and support carer representatives to participate in our Carer Representative Program. The Project Officer will mentor carer representatives to be placed on local, state and at times national committees, advisory bodies and interview panels.
- to ensure that requests for carer representatives from mental health services and other organisations follow appropriate procedures including timelines and necessary administration requirements. Promotion of the program is a critical element of the role.
- to coordinate opportunities for carers to liaise with both government and non-government mental health services staff to provide feedback and suggestions on service provision.
The position is part-time (1 day per week for 12 months) with a view to becoming permanent if funding permits.
