The Mental Health Council of Tasmania is working with state and territory peak bodies on the reimagine.today Project, which will test, and develop additional resources for a new website reimagine.today to help people begin making an application to the psychosocial stream of the NDIS. Two workshops will be held in Tasmania:
Mental Health Consumer Focus Group on reimagine.today (Launceston)
The workshop will:
- offer training in a key distress tolerance skill and enable you to be part of a focus group testing the reimagine.today website
- be facilitated by Astrid Wootton (Peer Leader MHCT) and Darren Jiggins (national mental health consumer advocate)
Each consumer participant is eligible for a payment of $110 for focus group participation (if not otherwise reimbursed – for instance, if you are attending on behalf of an organisation as a paid employee).
*An unpaid carer, family member or friend accompanying a consumer is also eligible for the focus group payment.
FREE Self Advocacy for the Mental Health Consumer Workshop – Hobart
Facilitated by Astrid Wootton (Peer Leader MHCT) and Darren Jiggins (national mental health consumer advocate) the workshop will focus on building skills in Self Advocacy and Distress Tolerance, and provide a guided introduction to the new website.
*Please note: carers may attend if accompanying a mental health consumer.
